This water main project consisted of 18,557 linear feet of 48-inch water main and 727 linear feet of 72-inch steel welded water main constructed in southwest Charlotte surrounding CLT Airport.

Four major 72-inch tunnels were installed by using the tunnel-and-jack method under major NCDOT roadways. The $11 million water project was constructed over three years and under bid price.
